Odyssey is an innovative mobile application designed specifically for tourists visiting American national parks. The app provides an interactive and engaging experience by offering a variety of routes within each park, and displaying the routes on an intergrated Google map. Furthermore, Odyssey incorporates gamification elements, leveraging a machine learning algorithm to award scores to users based on their completion time for each route, and awarding a rarity score for species captured by the user along the trails. Additionally, Odyssey includes a social media feature, enabling users to share their scores and the trails they have taken.
I played a vital role in developing and integrating key features into Odyssey. This involved collaborating with the project team to design and implement various functionality such as route selection, Google Maps integration, real-time location tracking, and wildlife identification. By leveraging my technical expertise and problem-solving skills, I ensured the seamless functionality of these features, enhancing the overall user experience.
Recognizing the importance of a visually appealing and intuitive user interface, I contributed to enhancing the UI of Odyssey. Working closely with designers, I provided valuable insights and suggestions to create a visually captivating and user-friendly design. I ensured that the app's interface was optimized for smooth navigation, efficient information display, and a seamless integration of the various app features.
As an active contributor to the development process, I collaborated with the team in planning, implementing, and testing new features. I actively participated in code reviews, debugging, and performance optimization, ensuring the app met high-quality standards.
